Nicole Scherzinger "not cool" with Twitter: "I'm way better in person"

Nicole Scherzinger has confessed that she is not a fan of Twitter.

The singer and X Factor judge has said that she is "not cool" with the social networking site, despite the fact that she has over three million followers there.

"I'm way better in person than I am on things like Twitter," she told Live magazine (via Now magazine).

"I know Twitter is the best and fastest way to connect with fans who really appreciate you, but I'm still not cool with it - although I am trying!

"I try my best but I'm a one-on-one person and I don't want to tell people I'm on the toilet or I just brushed my teeth.

The 34-year-old said that she misses the days when there was more "mystique" about celebrities.

"To be honest, I miss the old Hollywood way of having some mystique about the star," she said.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer said that she particularly loves her UK fans: "It turns o! ut that understanding the British public is not rocket science," she revealed.

"The British appreciate honesty and they also have a bonkers, off-the-wall sense of humour like me. They brought out the 'schermazing' in me."

Scherzinger's stint as a judge on last year's series of The X Factor was generally well-received by viewers, but it is unclear if she will return to the role this year.

Her recent single 'Boomerang' reached number six on the UK singles chart earlier this month.
