Tinie Tempah is on the verge of cracking America and, from what my spies backstage at US X Factor say, hes been cracking on to a new girl too.

Tinie has apparently been getting on more than a little bit well with Pussycat Doll and judge Nicole Scherzinger.

Nicole, currently boring us all deciding whether shes going to fall back into the arms of F1 ace Lewis Hamilton for the umpteenth time, had everybody gossiping about her flirting with the UK rapper when he performed his hit Pass Out on Thursdays show.

An insider reveals: Tinie met all the judges backstage, and he hit it off with Nicole instantly.

She was flirting outrageously and it got to the point where all the crew where whispering about something going on. During the rehearsal for the group performance, Tinie sat next to Nicole on one of the audience seats and the pair started dancing together and were being extremely touchy-feely.

Everyone was eating lunch and Nicole took Tinie to her dressing room after shed been going on about the delicious treats shed bought back from her recen! t trip t o Hawaii that he had to try.

As soon as Simon Cowell arrived at the studio and asked where Tinie was, he laughed when a member of the production crew told him he was in Nicoles dressing room and said, Another one bites the dust.

The pairs flirting continued after Tinie performed on the show. The source adds: After the show, Nicole was more interested in raving about Tinies performance rather than consoling the two acts who left. She flung her arms around him saying he lit up the studio and barely let Simon get a word in edgeways.

Nicole tweeted afterwards: Tinie Tempah was rockin out! #IwantYouBack.

But its not just Nicole who Tinie decided to get close to this week during his trip to LA. He also dined quietly with Cheryl Cole on Tuesday night.

Cheryl and Tinie had dinner at Sushi Roku in West Hollywood, adds my source. Its one of Cheryls favourite places to eat in the city.

Tinie is good pals with Taio Cruz whos been doing a lot of work with Cheryl on her new album, and he hooked them up.

Cheryl said the pair had a great evening.
