Nicole Scherzinger completely stole the show at the X Factor USA press conference in Los Angeles yesterday.

The 33-year-old judge and mentor poured her fabulous figure into a plunging cream dress and Christian Louboutin heels as she posed alongside Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul.

The trio, along with judge LA Reid, took the chance to talk to journalists ahead of the finale this week.

Melanie Amaro, 19, Josh Krajcik, 30, and Chris Rene, 28, will all compete to win the US version of the X Factor on Wednesday night's live show.

Simon revealed at the press conference that Justin Bieber, Pitbull and R&B singer Ne-Yo will be among the stars performing during the two-hour finale.

But the talent show hasn't been quite as successful in the United States as Cowell had hoped. Welsh host, Steve Jones, in particular has failed to win over the American public.

If the reports are to be believed, the 34-year-old could be about to get the chop.

A source told the Daily Mirror: 'Steve keeps saying that living in LA is a dream come true.

'He loves the weather and the women, and he loves working on X Factor its just a shame that the US public has not ! warmed t o him.

'He got terrible reviews from critics when he started and things havent got better.

'There have been mistakes and he just doesnt seem to have the knack for dealing with contestants.

'The executives at Fox have already decided not to renew his contract and so, short of a miracle happening, it is pretty much a done deal that he will not take part next season.'
