Nicole Scherzinger left red-faced after mistaking Lloyd-Webber for royal

London, Dec 7 (ANI): Nicole Scherzinger recently embarrassed herself when she confused Andrew Lloyd Webber as a member of the royal family.

She committed the faux pas before appearing on stage at the Royal Variety Performance on Monday night.

When asked if Princess Anne would be the first Royal she has ever met the star declared that "No, I've met Lord Lloyd-Webber."

"No, I've met Lord Lloyd-Webber. He is a Lord isn't he? Fart, I think I called him Sir earlier on!" the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

The 33-year-old revealed that she had also been practising her curtseys to meet Princess Anne - as a sign on her dressing-room door reminded her to say 'ma'am...sounds like ham'.

"I get to meet Princess Anne and I have to address her as "Your Royal Highness". I have practised my curtsey and on a sheet in my room it says "Address her by Ma'am...sounds like ham"

"I grew up in musical theatre and to be able to sing Phantom of the Opera and do my own version of it and hopefully it will be okay. I've done lots of musical theatre. I've been asked to do a lot of roles on Broadway but the time has never fit," she added (ANI)
