Nicole Scherzinger Hints At X Factor USA Exit

Nicole Scherzinger has hinted that she may not return for next year's X Factor USA.

The former Pussycat Doll landed a spot on the judging panel following Cheryl Cole's shock sacking but was forced to cope with mixed reviews as well as Simon Cowell's sharp tongue.

Now the 33-year-old singer has revealed she'll be concentrating on music next year.

Speaking to Radar Online, Nicole admitted she had found The X Factor USA tough emotionally (she's got the crying fit to prove it) and was forced to put her solo career on hold for the show.

"I worked with these contestants six days a week so I delayed the album," she told the website.

Scherzinger topped the UK charts with Don't Hold Your Breath, from her first solo album Killer Love, but the song has yet to be released Stateside.

Nicole added: "I'm an artist first, not a judge first. Next year, for me, it's about my music."

Perhaps Cheryl will get a second shot at cracking America after all.
