She's had a hugely successful 2012 after becoming the stand out star of The X Factor and now the champion judge has revealed her plans for 2013- releasing lots of new music!

The X Factor judge is planning a chart comeback following her winning turn as a judge on Simon Cowell's ITV show. Whilst this year has been all about her X Factor boys, including winner James Arthur, 2013 is all about Nic:

''I put my album aside for my boys on 'The X Factor' and I'm coming back next year really strong. I'll be coming back blazing with my single 'Boomerang'," the Pussycat Doll tells Heat.

And her new ventures might keep her on UK British shores for awhile, as the the star admits she's fallen in love with us Brits:

''I actually like the British weather and I'm getting good at the accent, too. Britain is my second home now. I'm not going anywhere!''

Yay! The interveiw also saw Nic discuss her time in chart-topping girl group the Pussycat Dolls. Despite seeming like the confident one in the group, the lead singer admits her seven years in the band left her feeling insecure:

''I spent 10 years - the whole time I was in the Pussycat Dolls - as two people, one on stage and then behind closed doors. I was this girl who was lost and lonely, hating myself."

''Just because you wear a corset and dance doesn't mean you think you are beautiful. I was unbelievably insecure and I couldn't control it. My metabolism was all messed up. I was losing the one thing I only ever wanted to do: sing. "

"I saw therapists, psychiatrists, life coaches and dealt with it head on.''
