WATCH: Nicole Scherzinger Downplays X Factor Exit Reports
WENNWe got ourselves into a bit of a panic earlier when it was rumoured that Nicole Scherzinger would be leaving The X Factor after just one season.
However, backing up her reps' earlier statement that no decisions have been made yet, the former Pussycat Doll clarified her comments to journalists including EntertainmentWise in Manchester today.
Explaining that when she said she wanted to leave "on a high" she wasn't necessarily referring to this year, she said: "As far as next year goes, I haven't been asked.
"I have to be asked first. Right now I'm just trying to focus on having a home run this weekend."
And on the difference between the US and UK incarnations, she said: "They simply allowed me to be myself here. Not only did they do that, they bought the best in me. It wouldn't have been a great year if they didn't embrace my... sense of humour."
Asked if she would trade back to the North American edition if Simon Cowell asked, she said that she is thinking of moving to the UK.
