Who Wins Nicole Scherzinger & Tulisa Contostavlos' X Factor Fashion Battle?
Splash NewsIt's been a dramatic X Factor series what with singing sensation Ella Henderson being knocked out of the competition before Rylan Clark, Lucy Spraggan dropping out over illness and Union J's faces of foundation, but we've been keeping a good eye on the fashion side of things.
This year has seen X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger blossom into a fashion icon from her trashy former Pussycat Doll days, where she thought plastic blinding silver leggings were the in thing.
But now we can safely state that after a good old scrub up and a brand new X Factor style team, Nicole Scherzinger has been the one to beat in the style stakes this series with her endless array of designer gowns for the Live Shows, leaving Tulisa trailing behind.

Unfortunately, not even a whole team of X Factor stylists can help redeem Tulisa Contostavlos' dire urban-meets-tacky high street style as even when she does get it just about right she plasters her face in orange make-up or dyes her hair bright peroxide.
As an example of the pair's typical fashion antics, both judges stepped onto the big stage in ! Manchester on Saturday night, with Nicole coming top in the final fashion showdown yet again.
The 34-year-old solo singer looked incredible in a sparkling floor-length Zuhair Murad long-sleeved gown which complimented her skin tone, teaming the look with a pair of towering Charlotte Olympia heels.

And whilst she has been endlessly trying to beat Nicole in the style stakes for the past two months and consistently failing, Tulisa missed the nail on the head yet again in a custom made avant-garde black dress by Suzanne Neville.
Making her waist look abnormally small, the super cinched in number looked as if it was squeezing the life out of her as her breasts tried to escape out of the mesh neckline.
Finishing off the look with a pair of skyscraper black strappy Prada heels and Swarovski cuffs and rings, Tulisa looked much edgier than Nicole but simply not as stylish.

Another example of Tulisa and Nicole's one-way fashion battle would have to be when Tulisa showed off her bottled tan in a bright white dress which looked cheap more than anything else whilst Nicole looked fierce in a futuristic metallic mini dress, showing off those Pussycat Doll pins to their full extent.
All-white really happened to suit Nicole, however, as she worked the stage one week in an androgynous white tux and trousers whilst Tulisa looked overdone in a floor-length baroque ball gown.
