Mel B appears to have ruled out a role as a judge on the UK version of the X Factor despite constant speculation that she would be drafted in and be given a space on the panel for the new series.

It is believed that the former Spice Girl is keen to stay in Australia where she is a judge on the Australian version of the show.
An insider claimed to The Sun: "Mel is pretty sure she wants to stay in Australia. She enjoyed appearing on the show in the UK but is telling friends she will stick to the set-up that she is the most comfortable with.

Reports that Mel would be replacing either Nicole or Tulisa were speculated about last year. A source told the Daily Mirror at the time:
"She's ready to come back. All her obligations in Australia, where she's been living for two years, come to completion at the end of January.
