Nicole Scherzinger 'Finalises X Factor Deal', Fans Call For Anastacia Instead

Nicole Scherzinger has allegedly signed a contract to replace Kelly Rowland on The X Factor UK... but fans of the show have called for a change of plan.

Just yesterday it was rumoured that Anastacia had impressed bosses and audiences enough to enter negotiations, but a conflicting report from US mag Life & Style suggests that the former Pussycat Doll has sealed the deal - despite not being Simon Cowell's first choice.

"She's accepted the offer," a source told the publication. "She's going to be in the UK for about four months."

However, The Sun has published a report saying that, although Nicole HAS been offered the job, she has NOT signed the deal... and producers are considering changing their minds after the overwhelmingly positive reaction Anastacia received during her stint.

"Everything is in place to sign Nicole but Anastacia was incredible," a source tells the tabloid. "She had such great chemistry with the others. Nicole has been good in the past but she hasnt worked with anyone on this panel before except Louis, so who knows how she will do?

"Nothing is certain on The X Factor things change down to the wire.

Scherzinger was a hit when she appeared as a guest judge on the UK edition of the show in 2010, and even contributed to the decision to form One Direction out of five rejected soloists.

However she failed to connect with US audiences last year w! hen she was hired as a replacement for Cheryl Cole on the North American incarnation of the talent show, and was fired along with Paula Abdul in December.

Rita Ora, Mel B, Geri Haliwell and Leona Lewis have also served as guest judges so far this year, after Dannii Minogue snubbed a comeback offer at the last minute.

Nicole will reportedly pocket 500,000 if she is employed.
