Nicole Scherzinger insists she has "no regrets" about US 'X-Factor'

She said: "I had a wonderful experience on the show. I loved being a part of my 'X Factor' family. Nothing could obviously prepare me for everything I had to go through, all the emotions and stuff, but I have no regrets.

"I've always believed in never looking back and just moving forward and I've got an amazing year to look forward to."

The 33-year-old 'Don't Cha' singer - who was drafted in as a judge when Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole was dropped from the panel at the start of season one - feels she gave everything she could to the TV talent show.

She told Access Hollywood: "What happened? Well, all I know is that I gave 110 per cent.

"I know everybody's talking about it, they're saying good, bad, they love me or hate me, but the one thing you can't say is that I didn't give it my all."

Having split with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton last year, she insists there will be no romance between herself and Steve Jones - who she describes as being: "Like a brother."

For now, Nicole plans to throw all of her energy into her solo music career and theatre work.

She said: "I'm kicking off with my European headlining tour, I'm leaving in a few days for that

"I'm going to get back to theatre this year, some more movies and my album is coming out in the US - my 'Killer Love' album - so I'm putting the finishing touches on it."
